MW200 - 200m3 Containerised Water Treatment Plant

At a Glance

The MW200 is a fully self-contained filtration plant capable of producing 200m3/hr of high quality filtrate from a wide variety of raw water sources.


The plants are fully load tested at the factory and arrive ready for duty with only the media loading, interconnecting pipe work, raw water inlet, filtered water discharge and backwash lines to plumb, and a single 3 phase power connection to turn them on.

Containerisation

Containerisation offers many benefits over traditional construction methods. 

  • Off-site progress is easily monitored via progress meetings and/or factory inspections at our Bangkok workshop.
  • Every plant is fully factory tested to as close to site conditions as possible. Any client can choose to witness and sign off on their plant's performance prior to shipping.
  • Good engineering drawings and communication allows for 95%+ completion of site works ahead of the arrival of the plant. The plants can typically be dropped into place and be operating at design specifications within a day or so.

MOC

All MorWater plants are plumbed flange-to-flange with Georg Fischer Piping Systems and Signet Instrumentation coupled with Grundfos pumps. 


You get all you spare parts from two manufacturers or distributors, and they're everywhere. In many smaller or remote countries this is the same trading company.

Chemicals

Larger MorWater plants are supplied with 2 x 1250L Custom HDPE chemical tanks inside a compliant bund along with the associated Grundfos DDC digital dose pumps, level transducers suction foot valve/strainers and injectors, and safe filling pipe work and camlocks.


The base design is typically to suit disinfection (chlorine dosing) and the addition of a flocculant or coagulant.

Configuration

The MW200 is fitted with Duty/Duty/Standby Grundfos NB 50-160/177 15kW centrifugal feed pumps each supplying 100m3/hr @ 3.6 Bar into 8 x 1800mm FRP Deep Bed media filters plumbed in parallel providing a filtration or linear velocity below 10 m3/m2/hr (9.8).


The parallel configuration allows any filter to be backwashed using filtered water from the other 7 filters, with the user-set backwash velocity controlled by a modulating valve in the filtrate discharge line. This removes the need for any additional backwash pumps or tanks/connections.
